Description

Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a travel assignment in a hospital setting. This role focuses on medication verification, order entry, and clinical support across a fast-paced inpatient environment, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and collaboration.

This is a great opportunity for pharmacists who are comfortable working independently on evening or overnight shifts while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.

Job Overview

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Charting System: Epic
Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy
Perform order entry and clinical review of medications
Monitor for drug interactions and contraindications
Manage IV medications and antibiotic therapies
Support pharmacokinetic and renal dosing as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

Requirements

Active VA Pharmacist license (must be in hand at submission)
BLS certification
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience
Experience with IV medications, antibiotics, and medication verification
Epic EMR experience required

Additional Details

Evening and overnight schedules available
Rotating schedule may include weekends
Professional dress or hunter green scrubs required
Travel experience preferred

VA license must be active and in hand at time of submission (no exceptions) Experience with inpatient pharmacy workflows is required Chemotherapy, anticoagulation, and pharmacokinetics experience preferred RTO must be submitted upfront for approval Flexible scheduling includes evenings, nights, and rotating weekends
