Description

Travel Pharmacist – Retail / Outpatient

We are seeking an experienced Retail/Outpatient Pharmacist for a travel assignment supporting a hospital-affiliated pharmacy system. This role includes working across multiple outpatient pharmacy settings, providing patient-focused care, medication dispensing, and clinical support in a dynamic environment.

This position offers variety, with the opportunity to float between multiple pharmacy locations including on-campus and off-site settings.

Job Overview

Specialty: Pharmacist (Retail / Outpatient)
Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts
Shift Times:
- Monday–Friday: 7:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:15 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option for extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Charting System: Epic
Setting: Outpatient / Retail Pharmacy

Responsibilities

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
Provide patient counseling on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications
Review medication orders for safety, interactions, and appropriateness
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
Support operations across multiple pharmacy locations as needed

Requirements

Active Pharmacist license
BLS certification
Retail or outpatient pharmacy experience required
Strong patient communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to multiple locations

Additional Details

Float between multiple pharmacy locations, including:
- On-campus outpatient pharmacy
- Off-site pharmacy location
- Retail/grocery-based pharmacy setting
Schedule assigned in advance across locations
Some Saturday coverage required
Interviews conducted directly by hospital leadership

Retail/outpatient pharmacy experience strongly preferred Must be comfortable floating between multiple pharmacy locations Schedule may include Saturdays as part of regular rotation Assignment offers consistent full-time hours with potential for extension
