On Call: Must respond to STEMI call backs in less than 30 minutes.

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
Patient Population
 

• Adults (18-64 years)
• Geriatrics (65 years and older)

Required Certifications
Must be attached at submission:
 

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact
• BLS
• ACLS

Minimum Experience Requirements
 

• 4-5 years of experience with primary EP background
• 1 year RN experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR

Preferred:
 

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• PALS
• CCRN
• PCCN
• NIH Stroke Certification
• RCIS
• RCES
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training
• Critical Care Course

Required Skills
 

• Dysrhythmia exam
• Patient assessment and care planning
• Medication administration
• Patient safety advocacy
• Care coordination
• Emergency response for STEMI call backs
• Function independently as scrub nurse and circulator
• Intra-aortic balloon pumps, chest tubes, impellas insertion
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
• Transvenous pacing/temporary pacing
• Conscious sedation administration
• Advanced respiratory modalities knowledge
