Description

Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient Critical Care (7 on / 7 off Nights)

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Critical Care Pharmacist for a travel assignment in a high-acuity hospital setting. This role focuses on clinical pharmacy support within critical care, ensuring safe and effective medication management for complex patient populations.

This position offers a highly desirable 7 on / 7 off schedule, providing consistency and extended time off between rotations.

Job Overview

Schedule: 7 on / 7 off (night shift)
Shift Time: Approximately 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Acute care hospital

Responsibilities

Verify and manage medication orders in a critical care setting
Provide clinical pharmacy support for high-acuity patients
Monitor drug therapy for safety, interactions, and effectiveness
Support dosing for complex medications and critical care therapies
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards
Document interventions and patient care activities

Requirements

Active Pharmacist license (state-specific)
BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience
Critical care experience required
Ability to work independently during evening/night shifts

Additional Details

7 on / 7 off schedule
Every other weekend required
High-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment
Opportunity to work across diverse patient populations

Inpatient/acute care experience is required (retail-only candidates will not be considered) Active state license required at time of submission Epic experience preferred Candidates must provide recent references and full work history Must be available for onboarding requirements within required timelines
