Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient (Night Shift)

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a travel assignment supporting a hospital pharmacy on night shift. This role involves overseeing medication verification, supporting multiple departments, and ensuring safe and effective medication management across the facility.

The Pharmacist will work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing orders, supporting clinical teams, and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient)
• Schedule: 4x10 hour night shifts
• Shift Time: Approximately 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (with overtime after 80 hours in pay period)
• Charting System: Epic
• Setting: Acute care hospital

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy
• Oversee technician work and support pharmacy operations
• Prepare and dispense medications, including IV compounding
• Provide clinical support across multiple departments
• Manage medication therapy for inpatient and outpatient populations
• Respond to pharmacist calls and coordinate care needs
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (state-specific)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Epic experience required
• Experience with IV compounding and unit dose medications
• Ability to work independently on night shift

• Night shift covers multiple departments including ICU, Med/Surg, ED, OB/GYN, and oncology
• No floating required
