Travel Pharmacist – Acute Care (Flexible Schedule)

We are seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a travel assignment at a well-established community hospital. This role supports a full-service pharmacy operation, including inpatient, outpatient, and oncology services.

This position offers flexibility with either rotating day/evening shifts or the option for a consistent evening schedule.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient / Acute Care)
• Schedule: 5x8 hour shifts
• Shift Options:
  • Day: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Evening: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Acute care hospital

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders and ensure safe, accurate dispensing
• Oversee IV room operations and sterile compounding
• Manage automated dispensing systems and pharmacy workflow
• Perform clinical dosing and pharmacokinetic monitoring
• Monitor therapies for effectiveness, safety, and interactions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (state-specific)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 3–5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience in inpatient/acute care required
• Strong clinical knowledge including dosing and therapeutic monitoring
• Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling

Additional Details

• Option for consistent evening schedule (highly preferred for scheduling consistency)
• Weekend rotation every 3–4 weeks
