Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient / Infusion Experience Required

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist to support both inpatient pharmacy operations and outpatient infusion services within a community hospital setting.

This is a strong opportunity for pharmacists with chemotherapy and compounding experience who are looking to expand their clinical exposure across multiple patient populations.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient / Infusion)
• Schedule: 5x8 hour shifts (rotating)
• Shift Times:
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Community hospital

Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense medications for inpatient and outpatient populations
• Prepare chemotherapy and hazardous medications
• Perform sterile compounding and IV preparation
• Monitor drug therapies, dosing, and patient response
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with providers and nursing staff on treatment plans
• Float to additional areas or nearby facilities as needed

Requirements

• PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy
• Active Pharmacist license (state-specific)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with:
  • Inpatient pharmacy operations
  • Chemotherapy preparation
  • Hazardous drug handling
• IV certification preferred
• Willingness to float within system

Additional Details

• Rotating schedule (no block scheduling available)
• Call requirement: approximately 3 nights per week
• Must reside outside local radius requirements
• Community hospital with diverse patient population across all age groups
• Exposure to both inpatient and outpatient infusion services
