Description

Travel Pharmacist – Night Shift (7 On / 7 Off)

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations in an acute care hospital setting. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists who thrive in an independent, fast-paced environment and are comfortable working overnight shifts.

Job Overview

Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient)
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off
Shift: Nights (8:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

Review, verify, and dispense medications safely and accurately
Prepare IV admixtures and sterile compounds
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies and dosing
Monitor for adverse drug reactions and ensure medication safety
Maintain accurate patient medication profiles
Provide education to clinical staff and patients as needed
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

Requirements

Active Pharmacist license (state-specific)
BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
Experience with sterile compounding and IV preparation
Ability to work independently in a night shift environment

Additional Details

7 nights on / 7 nights off schedule (Wednesday–Tuesday rotation)
No on-call requirement
No block scheduling available
Hospital setting with a diverse patient population
Exposure to a wide range of inpatient pharmacy responsibilities
Cerner EMR experience preferred

Acute care hospital experience required Must be comfortable working independently overnight Sterile compounding experience required Facility operates during holidays Strong multitasking and decision-making skills needed in a high-demand environment
