Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric NICU/PICU

Shift Notes: Nights, 6:30p-6:30a, 36 hrs/week, holiday rotation; Call: None; Weekends - every 3rd, subject to change based on staffing/census

Submission Requirements

• 24 months of Respiratory care experience in hospital/medical center setting [required]
• PICU / Pediatric intensive or NICU / neonatal intensive experience - may work across picu/nicu floor [highly preferred]
• Equipment experience: HFOV/High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation [highly preferred]
• Equipment experience: Jet, Servo U [highly preferred]
• ALL certs active, and in hand [required]
• NRP or PALS certified [required]
• EPIC electronic medical records experience [required]
• IA license {highly preferred} -- will accept licensing candidates; 1-3 week turnaround time
• BLS from AHA
• NBRC / National Board for Respiratory Care -- [required]
• Driver’s License [document] [required]
• Traveler may be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist
• Candidate will be cross trained on general Pediatric floor to assist when needed

UNIT Info

• Equipment: HFOV, Jet, Servo U
• Patient Types:  all ages
• Drips: power injection contrast injections
• Scrubs:  Gunpowder Gray

Employee Separation Policy:  Any past employee of UPH whether FTE, or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another Market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months.  If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply
