Shift: 12 HR Nights, Weekends only - Fri-Sun

Float Requirement: Traveler must be able to flex between L&D and Mother Baby

Unit:
Beds: 18 LDRP beds, 4 triage beds, 2 ORs

Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 acuity dependent

Patient Population
 

• Neonates (0-4 weeks)
• Infant (1-12 months)
• Pediatrics (1-12 years)
• Adolescents (13-17 years)
• Adults (18-64 years)
• Geriatrics (65 years and older)

Required Certifications
Must be attached at submission:
 

• Current RN License in the state or compact

Minimum Experience Requirements
 

• 1 year of RN experience

Preferred:
 

• Recent OB, ED, or critical care experience

Required Skills
 

• Electronic fetal monitoring
• Conducting vaginal exams
• Caring for the mother/fetal dyad
• Resuscitation and stabilization of mother/fetal dyad
• Breastfeeding support and education
• Teaching self/neonate/infant care, discharge teaching, planning, and follow up

Preferred Skills
 

• Circulating and recovering C-sections

Charting System

Charting:
 

• EPIC
• Obix for tracings

Include any required check-off, class, or training if listed
 

• EKG exam will be required

Unit Culture / Strengths
 

• Level 1 OB unit, hospital has a Level 1 Nursery
• Provider coverage: 24/7 in house OBGYN, and CRNA
• Pediatricians are neonatal nurse practitioners
• 60-65 deliveries/month, 650 deliveries/year

Scrubs:
 

• Scrubs provided on the unit

Education Requirement
 

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred)
