Requirements

• Minimum 3–4 years of RN experience required
• Strong Labor & Delivery experience required
• Postpartum experience required
• Active CA RN License required (in hand)
• AHA BLS certification required
• NRP certification required (within 6 months if not current)
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (within 6 months; recert every 2 years)
• ACLS & STABLE preferred
• Conscious Sedation certification required (within 6 months)
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Must be comfortable working with mothers (childbearing to geriatric) and newborns (up to 28 days)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to women across all life stages and newborns
• Assist in labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Float to other units or shifts as needed
