Required Skills & Experience:

Two (2) years of Medical/Surgical SD experience OR two (2) years of ICU experience
Two (2) years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Two (2) years of conscious sedation experience
Demonstrated completion of age-specific competency
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS

Job Summary:
Provides care for patients transitioning out of the ICU who require a higher level of monitoring and support than those on a general Med-Surg unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patients with medical devices such as catheters, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.

RN-to-patient ratio: 1:4
Patient population ranges from young adult to geriatric
Performs frequent patient assessments and escalates changes in condition appropriately
Responds to cardiac arrest and rapid response codes
