Description
Responsibilities
• Perform ongoing comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients
• Prioritize patient needs based on severity and risk
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
• Manage life-threatening conditions (airway, ventilation, cardiac stability)
• Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and emergencies
• Maintain hemodynamic stability and prevent complications
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
• Stay updated with clinical knowledge, technology, and best practices
• Assist with procedures such as temporary pacemaker insertion
• Support ambulance transport when required
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and critical care standards
Requirements
Experience
• Critical Care / ICU experience → required
• Experience with:
• Ventilator and airway management
• Cardiac monitoring & arrhythmia recognition
• Emergency response / high-acuity care
• EPIC experience → preferred (Meditech → EPIC transition)
Licenses/Certifications
• Active RN License
• BLS
• ACLS
Education
• ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)
