Description
Responsibilities
• Perform CT scans as per physician orders and established protocols
• Ensure patient safety and provide age-appropriate care during procedures
• Prepare and educate patients about imaging procedures
• Assist radiologists during procedures when required
• Operate CT imaging equipment efficiently and minimize repeat scans
• Maintain accurate patient records, orders, and imaging data
• Follow radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principles)
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and team members
• Assist in training and supervising student technologists
• Support team operations and collaborate across departments
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Requirements
Experience
• Minimum 1 year experience as Radiologic Technologist → preferred
• Experience performing CT imaging procedures → preferred
• Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Licenses/Certifications
• ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) → required
• ARRT (CT) → preferred
• BLS (AHA)
• State certification (if applicable – SCRQSA or equivalent)
Education
• High School Diploma / GED → required
• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology / CT program → preferred
