Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient (Night Shift | 7 on / 7 off)

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a high-volume acute care hospital setting. This role is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in a fast-paced overnight environment and are comfortable working independently while supporting a large patient census.

Job Overview

Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient)
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off (Wednesday–Tuesday rotation)
Shift: 4x10 Hour Night Shifts
Hours: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

Verify and dispense medications in an inpatient setting
Review physician orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness
Provide pharmacotherapy recommendations to providers and nursing staff
Support medication safety and regulatory compliance
Utilize pharmacy systems for order verification and medication tracking
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain workflow efficiency in a high-volume environment

Requirements

Active Pharmacist license (state-specific)
Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
Experience with:
- DoseEdge (required)
- Pyxis ES (preferred)
- Meditech EMR (preferred)
Ability to work independently on night shift
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high census environment

Additional Details

7 on / 7 off schedule (consistent block scheduling)
High-volume facility with large daily census
Every other weekend requirement
Inpatient pharmacy setting with established workflows
Orientation and EHR training provided

DoseEdge experience required Night shift experience strongly preferred Must be comfortable working independently overnight Experience in high-volume inpatient settings preferred Ideal candidate is adaptable, efficient, and thrives in a busy environment
