Travel Pharmacist – Short-Term Contract (Potential for Extension or Permanent Hire)

We are seeking a Licensed Pharmacist for a short-term assignment supporting pharmacy operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for immediate work with the potential to transition into a longer-term or permanent role.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist
• Schedule: 5x8 hour day shifts
• Shift Time: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible start time available)
• Contract Length: 4 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Pharmacy / Retail or Outpatient

Responsibilities

• Perform final verification of prescriptions prior to dispensing
• Ensure accuracy and safety of all medications dispensed
• Provide patient counseling on medications, dosage, and side effects
• Monitor for drug interactions and contraindications
• Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and support personnel
• Support inventory management and medication supply compliance
• Communicate with providers regarding medication-related concerns

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (state-specific)
• PharmD or equivalent degree required
• Previous pharmacy experience required
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verification
