Travel Pharmacist – Outpatient / Ambulatory (Flexible Schedule + Weekends Light)

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist to support an outpatient/retail pharmacy setting within a healthcare system. This role is ideal for pharmacists who enjoy patient interaction while maintaining a structured schedule with minimal weekend requirements.

Job Overview

Specialty: Pharmacist (Outpatient / Retail / Ambulatory)
Schedule: 5x8 hour day shifts (varied schedule)
Shift Times: Between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (rotating schedule)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Outpatient / Retail Pharmacy

Responsibilities

Verify and dispense prescription medications
Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions
Ensure accuracy and safety of all prescriptions dispensed
Maintain patient records and pharmacy documentation
Monitor for medication compliance and potential drug interactions
Collaborate with healthcare providers regarding prescriptions and therapy plans
Support daily pharmacy workflow and patient service needs

Requirements

Active Pharmacist license (state-specific)
PharmD or equivalent required
Previous pharmacy experience required
Retail, outpatient, or ambulatory experience preferred
Epic Willow Ambulatory experience preferred
Strong communication and patient-facing skills

Additional Details

Monday–Friday primary schedule with rotating shifts
Occasional Saturday coverage (short shift)
Sunday off consistently
No call requirement
Structured outpatient pharmacy environment

Epic Willow Ambulatory experience preferred Travel experience preferred but not required Must have license in hand at time of submission Vaccine requirements apply (medical/religious exemptions only) Must be able to complete onboarding requirements quickly (within required timeframe)
