Description

Travel Pharmacist – Hospital Setting (Day Shift, 4x10s)

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist to support a hospital pharmacy team. This role offers a consistent daytime schedule and the opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Job Overview

Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient / Hospital)
Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts
Shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Hospital Pharmacy

Responsibilities

Interpret and verify physician medication orders
Compound and dispense medications in accordance with pharmacy standards
Monitor patient profiles for drug interactions, contraindications, and appropriate dosing
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient care
Provide drug information and clinical guidance to staff and patients
Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure accuracy of medication preparation
Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Assist with clinical initiatives, education, and performance improvement programs
Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of medications, including controlled substances

Requirements

Active Pharmacist license (state-specific, required at submission)
BLS certification (AHA required)
Minimum 1 year of recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work independently
Experience with order verification, IV preparation, and pharmacy operations

Opportunity to work closely with leadership and clinical teams

License must be in hand at time of submission BLS must be AHA Hospital experience strongly preferred Candidates must be comfortable working independently and managing workload Submission must include all required documentation and availability for interview
