Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient Hospital (Pharmacist-in-Charge Experience Preferred)

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations in a hospital setting. This role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities within pharmacy services.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient / Hospital)
• Schedule: 5x8 hour shifts or 4x10 hour shifts (varied days)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for safety and accuracy
• Oversee procurement, storage, distribution, and administration of medications
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Manage pharmacy operations including inventory, controlled substances, and Omnicell systems
• Provide drug information and clinical guidance to healthcare staff
• Ensure proper documentation, billing, and recordkeeping for pharmacy services
• Maintain crash carts, emergency medication kits, and specialty medication supplies
• Support quality assurance, policy updates, and regulatory compliance
• Participate in administrative responsibilities and operational improvements
• Provide on-call coverage and support after hours as needed
• Assist with oversight of pharmacy services, including leadership responsibilities when applicable

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (state-specific, required at submission)
• BLS certification
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience within the last 3 years (required)
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, compliance, and medication safety
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities

Additional Details
