Travel Pharmacist – Acute Care Hospital (Rotating Shifts)

We are seeking a clinically strong Travel Pharmacist to join a high-acuity hospital setting delivering patient-centered pharmaceutical care. This role offers exposure to diverse patient populations and a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient / Acute Care)
• Schedule: 4x10s or 5x8s (rotating shifts)
• Shift Times: Variable start times between days and nights
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and medication management
• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and safety
• Participate in patient care planning alongside interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor therapeutic outcomes and adjust medication regimens as needed
• Provide drug information, education, and counseling to patients and staff
• Prepare and dispense medications in compliance with regulatory standards
• Support medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
• Assist with staff education and onboarding when needed

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (state-specific, required at submission)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience
• PGY1 residency preferred or equivalent clinical experience
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in fast-paced environments
• Epic experience preferred

Additional Details

• Rotating day and night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• May float to nearby facilities within the system based on census
• Exposure to a wide range of patient populations including neonatal through geriatric
