Travel Pharmacist – Night Shift (Inpatient Hospital)

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist to join a high-acuity inpatient pharmacy team on a night shift schedule. This role offers strong clinical exposure while maintaining a consistent block schedule.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient)
• Schedule: 4x10s or 7 on / 7 off
• Shift: Nights (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and safety
• Perform sterile compounding, including TPN and limited chemotherapy preparation
• Provide clinical pharmacy services including pharmacokinetics, antimicrobial stewardship, and anticoagulation dosing
• Monitor medication therapy including vancomycin and aminoglycoside dosing
• Support IV to PO conversions, pain management, and dosing protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Identify and report adverse drug events and medication errors
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support pharmacy operations

Requirements

• Active Florida Pharmacist license (required at submission)
• BLS certification
• Hospital pharmacy experience required
• Strong clinical knowledge in inpatient pharmacy practice
• Experience with sterile compounding and dosing protocols
• Ability to work independently in a night shift environment

Additional Details

• 7 on / 7 off schedule available
• Rotating weekends required
• Experience with Meditech and Pyxis preferred
• Pediatric, NICU, or PICU experience is a plus
• High-acuity environment requiring strong clinical decision-making
