Travel Critical Care Pharmacist – Acute Care Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Pharmacist for a travel assignment in a high-acuity acute care hospital setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with strong clinical skills and experience working in multidisciplinary critical care environments.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for critically ill patients
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with providers
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing (including vancomycin and anticoagulation)
• Monitor and optimize drug therapies for safety and efficacy
• Provide clinical guidance and drug information to healthcare teams
• Manage high-acuity medication regimens including critical care drips
• Support sterile compounding and medication preparation as needed
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and assist with workflow management

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient hospital experience
• Critical care or acute care experience required
• BLS required (can be completed onsite if needed)
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• PGY1 or PGY2 residency training
• Board certification in a clinical specialty
• Experience with Cerner or similar EMR systems
• Experience with NICU or advanced critical care therapies

Additional Details

• No on-call requirements
• Weekend rotation (approximately every 4th weekend)
• Rotating holiday schedule
