Travel Pharmacist – Night Shift | 4x10 Schedule | Acute Care

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist for a night shift assignment in a busy acute care hospital. This role offers a consistent 4x10 overnight schedule, ideal for pharmacists who prefer longer shifts with more days off.

Job Overview

• Shift: Night Shift (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for inpatient populations
• Oversee medication dispensing and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Provide overnight clinical support across hospital departments
• Monitor medication therapies for effectiveness and adverse reactions
• Support sterile compounding and IV preparation as needed
• Collaborate with providers and nursing staff to optimize patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Supervise pharmacy technicians during shift

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent required
• Recent hospital pharmacy experience required
• Ability to work independently in a night shift environment
• BLS certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel experience
• Experience with Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage workflow independently overnight
