Description

Travel Pharmacist – 7 On / 7 Off | Acute Care Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist for a 7 on / 7 off day shift assignment in an acute care hospital setting. This schedule offers an excellent work-life balance with full weeks off between rotations.

Job Overview

Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

Review and verify medication orders for inpatient populations
Perform clinical dosing including anticoagulation, renal dosing, and pharmacokinetics
Support sterile compounding and IV preparation
Monitor medication therapies for safety and effectiveness
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on patient care plans
Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
Oversee pharmacy operations during assigned shifts
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians

Requirements

Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to start)
Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital pharmacy experience
Experience with inpatient workflows and clinical dosing
Sterile compounding experience required
BLS certification required

Preferred Qualifications

Previous travel experience
Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems
Strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making ability
Experience in smaller or community hospital settings

Additional Details

7 on / 7 off schedule (Wednesday – Tuesday rotation)
On-call required during scheduled work week
Every other weekend required
Free parking available
No floating required
