Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
Shift: Day or Night Shift, 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 07:30)
Optional Shifts: Additional shifts available
Hours: 36 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Med/Surg Acute RN to join the team at Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley. This assignment is perfect for experienced nurses who thrive in acute care settings and are looking for a consistent day or night shift schedule with optional extra shifts.

Schedule

• Day or Night Shift (07:00 – 07:30, 12-hour shifts)
• 36-hour block schedule
• Opportunity to pick up additional shifts based on census

Qualifications

• RN License in the state of practice (California required)
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• 3 months recent Med/Surg specialty experience required
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
• EMR Experience: Cerner required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care for medical/surgical patients
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
