Description
RN – ICU Stepdown (PCU) | Elmhurst, NY | Day & Night Shifts Available
Location: Elmhurst Hospital Center – Elmhurst, New York
Start Date: 04/27/2026
Shift Options:
- Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 shifts/week (11.5 hrs each)
Duration: 13-week contract (possible extension)
Job Summary:
Seeking experienced RN – ICU Stepdown (PCU) to care for patients transitioning from ICU requiring close monitoring and advanced care.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients with ventilators, cardiac monitors, trachs, feeding tubes, and catheters
- Perform frequent assessments and escalate changes in condition
- Respond to rapid response and code situations
- Maintain 1:4 patient ratio
- Care for adult to geriatric patients
Required Experience:
- 2+ years ICU or Stepdown (PCU) experience
- IV insertion & phlebotomy
- Conscious sedation experience
Education:
- ADN/ASN required (BSN preferred)
Certifications:
- Active NY RN License
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
Specialty:
