Description
Position: RN II – Case Management / Utilization Review
Facility: Adventist Sierra Vista
Location: 1010 Murray Ave, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days, 4×10 hours (07:30 AM – 06:00 PM), variable schedule
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Start Date: 04/27/2026
PR: $32/Hour on W2 + $1700/Weekly
Gross Weekly: $3108
Key Responsibilities
Assess admission status and level of care using InterQual criteria
Coordinate discharge planning with patients, families, and community agencies
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure appropriate utilization of resources
Monitor patient progress and facilitate timely care transitions
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
At least 1 year of hospital Case Management experience
Experience in utilization review and discharge planning preferred
Knowledge of InterQual criteria and Medicare guidelines preferred
Strong communication and coordination skills
Certifications & Licensure
Active California RN License – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
