Unit Specifics:

Number of Beds :24
Type of equipment :Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Artic sun, Lifepak, Alaris pumps
Documentation system: Meditech documentation
Floating policy: Rare. Only if other staff have been flexed home.
Patient Experience requirements: Use of AIDET, whiteboards. Positive attitudes only. Can do culture.

Hospital Specifics-

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, prefer CPI, CEN

Must have:

ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, NIH

Advanced skills needed:

Knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis and triage.

Procedures performed on unit: all procedures associated with level 2 trauma center.

Certifications Required: Current KS RN license and preferred CEN or TCRN certification.
