Job Summary

Seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Pediatric RN to join the Central Campus team in Wenatchee. This role requires a nurse who excels in the nursing process for a diverse pediatric population, ranging from infants to adolescents. You will be responsible for holistic assessments, medication administration, and family-centered education. The unit emphasizes a collaborative approach, requiring you to work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care and effective discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Pediatric Assessment: Complete ongoing holistic assessments, identifying physical, psychological, and social needs specific to pediatric developmental stages.

• Care Coordination: Develop and implement individualized plans of care; continually reassess for appropriateness and adjust interventions based on patient response.
• Medication & Procedures: Safely administer pediatric-specific dosages and perform nursing treatments/procedures according to hospital and unit standards.
• Family Education: Teach patients and their "significant others" (parents/guardians) essential health information and provide written educational materials to facilitate a safe transition home.
• Safety & Delegation: Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed assistive personnel (CNAs/Techs) and maintain a safe environment for vulnerable patients.
• Unit Versatility: Must be willing to float as a patient sitter or float in rotation to other units as needed; must be willing to take call if requested.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Washington (WA) State or Compact RN License (Required at time of application).
• Certifications: Must maintain active AHA BLS and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Experience: While not explicitly stated, most pediatric travel roles require 2+ years of acute care pediatric experience.
