Description
Patient Types:Will work through both Gen Peds and PICUPediatrics: Patients 0-18 years of age and adult overflow (stable medical s/p appendectomy, s/p cholecystectomy, cellulitis, etc.). The diagnosis of these patients varies from respiratory illness, diabetes, septicemia, cellulitis, hyperbilirubinemia, neglect/abuse, mental health, trauma, neurology, and general surgeries. The general surgeries may include ear/nose/throat, gastrointestinal, urological, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and trauma.Advanced Care Pediatrics: Patients 0-18 years of age requiring critical or intensive care services.The most common disease entities you may care for in our Advanced Care Pediatrics Unit include but are not limited to:?acute and chronic respiratory insufficiency, circulatory failure, infectious diseases leading to major organ system dysfunction, endocrine and metabolic disorders, neurologic diseases, toxic ingestions/exposures, trauma, hematologic and oncologic disease.Patient Ratios:RN General Pediatrics - 1:5Advanced Care Pediatrics: 1:1-2Required Certifications:RN: BLS, PALS, NIHSS NRP is notrequired
