Physical Therapist (Traveler)

Location: Lake Huron Medical Center, 2601 Electric Avenue, Port Huron, MI 48060

Job Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA), Full-Time
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday with alternating weekends

Assignment Length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension

Position Summary

Lake Huron Medical Center is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) for a traveler assignment to provide high-quality care in both inpatient acute and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will deliver patient-centered therapy services, contribute to interdisciplinary care, and support the rehabilitation needs of a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement physical therapy interventions.
• Provide therapy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, adapting to the needs of each patient.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and hospital standards.
• Participate in alternating weekend coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Michigan.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong clinical skills in acute care and outpatient physical therapy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
