Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU (Night Shift)

Location: West Hollywood, CA
Department: Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 8:00 PM – 8:30 AM | 3×12‑hour shifts
 

The RN must be highly adaptable and comfortable working across all PACU and Pre‑Op areas, caring for a wide variety of surgical populations including trauma, cardiac, neuro, transplant, and pediatric cases.

Manager conducts direct interviews. All listed skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Phase I & II PACU care to post‑operative patients
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from general anesthesia, MAC, and conscious sedation
• Care for ventilated patients and those requiring advanced respiratory support
• Manage cardiac monitoring, including dysrhythmia recognition and intervention
• Monitor invasive lines including arterial lines, PA/Swan‑Ganz catheters, EVDs, and ICP monitoring
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation and pain control (PCA, epidural)
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, ICU teams, and interdisciplinary staff
• Float between Pre‑Op, PACU, and recovery areas as assigned
• Document care accurately per Cedars‑Sinai standards

 Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license (must be active at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS
  • PALS

• Must have experience with:

  • Ventilated patients
  • Conscious sedation
  • Pulmonary artery lines
  • Telemetry and dysrhythmia management
