Position Description

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Surgical Technician / Tissue Processing Technician to assume responsibility and accountability for supporting surgical services through proper preparation, sterilization, and handling of surgical instruments and equipment. The Surgical Technician demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment while ensuring all surgical devices, instruments, and supplies are properly arranged, functioning, and ready for procedures.

The technician assists the surgical team in maintaining sterile technique, anticipating provider needs, and supporting patient safety throughout surgical procedures. This role also includes tissue processing and department support as needed, including assisting with other duties within the Surgical Services department during periods of low census. The Surgical Technician consistently performs according to professional standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
