Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Washington Hospital Healthcare System, Fremont, CA 94538-1716
Shift: Nights (12-hour)
Duration: Approximately 20 weeks

Washington Hospital Healthcare System is seeking an experienced OR RN to support our acute care surgical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled circulating or scrub nurse to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with modern EPIC charting and Pyxis systems.

Benefits

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Shift

12-hour nights: 11:00 PM – 11:00 AM, 3 shifts/week
Must be available for call, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Unit & Patient Care

Unit Type: OR (Operating Room) – acute care
Trauma Level: Not specified
Case Types: Primarily ortho and neuro; includes one dedicated heart room and one cysto room
Systems: EPIC charting, Pyxis medication dispensing
Staffing: Eight ORs available; typically 5 running simultaneously

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 3 years OR experience; strong circulating and trauma experience required, ability to scrub preferred
Licenses: RN license required
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required

Comfortable in a high-acuity OR environment
Flexible with scheduling and able to cover holidays/weekends
Proficient in EPIC and OR protocols
Team-oriented and patient-focused
