Description

ICU Registered Nurse - Contract Opportunity

Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Position is for a returning travel nurse.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience.
  • Charge Nurse experience is required.
  • Shift: 12-hour shifts with flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Note: Time off requests for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's will not be accepted.
  • Travelers may be expected to float to other departments where qualified, performing patient care or task-oriented duties such as answering call lights or phones.

Required Certifications

  • American Heart Association BLS
  • ACLS
  • Conscious Sedation certification (can be obtained through the facility for a fee)

Additional Information

  • Orientation is held on Mondays only; missing compliance deadlines will delay start to the following Monday.
  • Flexibility is essential as staffing needs may change.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
  • Charge Nurse experience and experience in charge roles
