Position Description:

The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician.  These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics.  The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
• Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
• A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Schedule:

• 3 x12 NOC 7p-7a

Scope:

• CT Tech and Xray tech position. 50/50 between Cannon CT and Xray. Must be willing to float to do Xrays up to half of the time.

Experience/Certification Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent CT Tech experience
• OBMI Certification (State License)
  • The facility will consider candidates who have already started the licensing process at the time of submittal, though those with a license in hand will be prioritized. (We will also reimburse the Oregon license fee once the license posts.)
• ARRT (CT)(R)
• BLS

Special Notes:

• Facility is a small rural, critical-access hospital in Eastern Oregon.
• Patient types: Pediatric to Geriatric
• 25 Beds - 17 MS, 7 ICU
• Charting System: EPIC
• Candidates must be willing to work with patients of all ages. Hospital is located near Tri-Cities and candidates have options for housing with the hospital. (Hotel rooms at a discounted rate and a few houses that traveler's can rent rooms from). Caregivers will be asked to float to lower acuity if census is low
