Registered Nurse – RN Medical Surgical
Location: Kingman, AZ
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: May 4, 2026
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12 hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Job Overview

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical-Surgical unit
• Work in a fast-paced acute care environment with MS/Telemetry patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor patients on telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications including heparin protocols and cardiac drips (non-titrated)
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line management
• Assist with central line and PICC line care (preferred)
• Manage respiratory support including oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response/code teams
• Maintain infection control practices and isolation precautions
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records

Schedule & Work Details

• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio: approximately 1:5–1:6
• Floating required to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Self-scheduling environment (block scheduling not guaranteed)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Experience with telemetry monitoring required
• Active RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with MS/Telemetry or Stepdown (PCU/IMC) units
• Central line and PICC line management
• Blood product administration
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with Meditech charting system (preferred but not required)
