Shift Details

UNIT:  

36 hours per week - 72 per pay period ACU: Telemetry Ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights Floating is a requirement in ACU is always required for any non-critical care inpatient units including to the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. If the traveler has critical care experience, we have occasionally floated them to CCU. ACU required every other weekend rotation. Cerner EMR Experience Required. Traveler will be responsible for self-studying Telemetry strips upon acceptance, and a Basic Dysrhythmia test out will be given first week of assignment. This must be passed in order to work on our Telemetry/Med Surg unit. Telemetry Ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Med/Surg Ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.

POSITION:  

"TRAVELER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELF-STUDYING TELEMETRY STRIPS UPON ACCEPTANCE AND A BASIC DYSRHYTHMIA TEST OUT WILL BE GIVEN FIRST WEEK OF ASSIGNMENT. THIS MUST BE PASSED IN ORDER TO WORK ON OUR TELEMETRY/MED SURG UNIT." Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high quality care to the following patient populations: Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry. Positions available on Medical Surgical Unit and Telemetry Unit. ACLS Required. Estimated work week 36-hours with the possibility of overtime. Cerner EMR Experience Required.While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
