Position Details
- Position: Travel/Contract NICU Registered Nurse
- Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days (0645–1915)
- Schedule: 6-week scheduling cycle
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend + 2 Fridays & 2 Mondays per schedule period
- Call: None

- 247 Licensed Beds
- Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
- Teaching Hospital
- Certified Stroke & Chest Pain Center
- Free Parking
- Traveler must live 50+ miles from facility
Unit Information
- NICU Beds: 53 + overflow
- Average Census: ~58 patients
- Patient Ratios: Based on acuity (1:1, 1:2, 1:3)
- Float Requirements:
- Neonatal PCU
- May assist in PICU, CVICU, or General Pediatrics (as needed)
Patient Population / Diagnoses
- Respiratory: RDS, TTN, MAS, BPD
- Cardiac: CHD (TOF, VSD, HLHS), PDA, PPHN
- Neurological: Seizures, IVH, HIE
- Other: NEC, sepsis, NAS, congenital anomalies, renal failure, hypoglycemia, TORCH infections, and more
Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of strong Level III and/or Level IV NICU experience
Must be comfortable in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active RN license
- BLS (AHA)
- NRP
Required Skills
- EPIC charting experience
- Ventilator & HFOV management
- Vasoactive drip titration
- Invasive line management (ART lines, CVP)
- ECMO (neonatal side), CRRT (preferred but flexible)
- Feeding tubes, chest tubes, trach care
- Sedation & analgesia management
- Aseptic/sterile technique
- Bedside procedures with providers
