Description
The Radiology Technologist is a skilled imaging professional responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures to support accurate medical diagnosis and treatment. This role works collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians, and the broader healthcare team to deliver high‑quality imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols.
The Radiology Technologist is responsible for the full imaging process, including patient preparation and education, accurate positioning, operation of diagnostic imaging equipment, maintaining radiation safety standards, reviewing relevant patient history, and completing thorough documentation within the electronic medical record (EPIC).
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree)
- ARRT certification required
- Massachusetts state licensure (if applicable per state/contract)
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital‑based radiology experience
- EPIC experience required
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X‑ray (if applicable)
- Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
