Cardiovascular RN (CVU) – Travel/Contract
Location: Michigan
Facility: McLaren Northern Michigan
Setting: Cardiovascular Unit (Stepdown)
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing CVU team managing 4,000+ cardiology patients annually. The unit specializes in advanced cardiac procedures and post-operative care, including open-heart recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for cardiac patients including CHF and post-op open-heart cases
- Monitor and interpret EKGs
- Assist in procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and pacemakers
- Deliver stepdown-level care using strong clinical judgment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Float to similar units as needed
Requirements
- 1+ year Stepdown experience – Required
- Cardiac experience – Required
- Travel experience – Required
- EKG proficiency – Required
- Must be willing to float
Certifications
- BLS – Required
- ACLS – Required
License
- Active Michigan RN License – Required
