RN – Operating Room (Transplant Specialty)

Shift: 06:45 – 17:15 (with liver call)
Contract Start: Next applicable orientation date (3–4 weeks out)

Key Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of direct Liver/Transplant OR RN experience
  • Strong experience in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants must be clearly reflected on the skills checklist
  • Must have hands-on experience placing organs into recipients (not just harvesting)
• Technical Skills:
  • Must be proficient in Misonix/CUSA
• Certifications (Required at Submission):
  • BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
  • Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
• Licensure:
  • Pending license accepted

Scheduling & Work Requirements

• On-Call Requirement:
  • 1 shift per week
  • 2 weekend 12-hour shifts per month
  • (To be discussed during interview)
• Guaranteed Hours:
  • 36 hours (3x12s)
  • 40 hours (8/10s)
• Floating:
  • Required within scope based on facility needs
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Local Candidates: Accepted (same rate applies)

Submission & Compliance Requirements

• All RTO (Requested Time Off) must be disclosed at time of submission
  • Any additional RTO submitted later is unlikely to be approved
• Travelers must prioritize and complete time-sensitive modules immediately upon confirmation

Additional Mandatory Requirements

• Smoke-Free Facility:
  • All travelers must be nicotine-free (no exceptions)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen + Nicotine (cotinine) test required
