Patient Population
 

• Primarily MICU and SICU with some Neuro patients, Non-trauma ICU
• All traumas stabilized and transferred out

Required Certifications
Must be attached at submission:
 

• RN license in state they are working or covered by compact
• Dysrhythmia Exam Required

Minimum Experience Requirements
 

• 2 years as RN with ICU experience

Preferred:
 

• LVO's, EVD's, lumbar drains, Swans, IABP, Impella, CRRT
• Bachelor of Science Nursing
• CCRN, PCCN, RN-BC, TCRN, National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke Certification
• 1 year of RN experience
• 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
• Critical Care Course

Required Skills
 

• Current EPIC experience
• Provider Coverage: Intensivist on staff during the day. Telemedicine intensivist for nights.
• Night shift utilizes hospitalist for intubations and escalation of care.
• Lines/Drains/Devices: Arterial lines, Central Lines, PICC lines, Ports
• Airway: Vents, Trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow, Nasal Cannulas
• Drips: Heparin, Critical drips with routine titration

Preferred Skills
 

• Knowledge of advanced respiratory modalities
• Manages nursing care of the patient with a Swan-Ganz catheter
