Description
Weekend Requirement: EOW
Holiday Requirement: EOH
Patient Population
- Primarily MICU and SICU with some Neuro patients, Non-trauma ICU
- All traumas stabilized and transferred out
Required Certifications
Must be attached at submission:
- RN license in state they are working or covered by compact
- Dysrhythmia Exam Required
Minimum Experience Requirements
- 2 years as RN with ICU experience
Preferred:
- LVO's, EVD's, lumbar drains, Swans, IABP, Impella, CRRT
- Bachelor of Science Nursing
- CCRN, PCCN, RN-BC, TCRN, National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke Certification
- 1 year of RN experience
- 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
- Critical Care Course
Required Skills
- Current EPIC experience
- Provider Coverage: Intensivist on staff during the day. Telemedicine intensivist for nights.
- Night shift utilizes hospitalist for intubations and escalation of care.
- Lines/Drains/Devices: Arterial lines, Central Lines, PICC lines, Ports
- Airway: Vents, Trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow, Nasal Cannulas
- Drips: Heparin, Critical drips with routine titration
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of advanced respiratory modalities
- Manages nursing care of the patient with a Swan-Ganz catheter
