Description
Title: Micro Lab Tech (Medical Technologist – Microbiology)
Location: Austin, TX
Position Type: 13 Weeks (40 Hours Expected)
Shift: Days – 5x8 Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), rotating weekends, no call
Weekly Pay Package: $1,750 Gross (Taxable – $600 | Non-Taxable Stipend – $1,150)
Job Description:
• Experience: Minimum 1+ year Microbiology lab experience required
• Must have: Gram stains, culture setup, plate reading experience
• Strongly Preferred: MALDI-TOF and automated antibiotic sensitivity systems experience
• Equipment: Biofire, Cepheid, Bactec, Liat, Sofia, Solana, Microscan
• EMR: Meditech experience strongly encouraged
• Work in an acute care hospital microbiology lab (1st floor, rotating weekends)
• Ideal candidate: Self-starter, team player, flexible, quick learner, strong multitasking skills
• Dress Code: Sage green scrubs (top) with black bottoms
