Registered Nurse House Supervisor (Quality Risk Management)
Location: Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, Tarzana, CA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks, with potential for extension
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (08:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Schedule: Block Scheduling | Minimal weekends (only if surveyors onsite)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – House Supervisor to support Quality Risk Management and Patient Safety operations in an acute care hospital setting. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN with a background in risk management, quality assurance, or leadership, who can effectively oversee hospital-wide patient safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.
The RN will work across departments to ensure timely resolution of patient concerns, oversee event reporting, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee patient safety and risk management processes across all departments
- Ensure timely intake, investigation, documentation, and resolution of patient complaints and CMS-defined grievances
- Review and manage event reports, including triage and escalation
- Conduct post-discharge chart reviews and mortality reviews
- Facilitate Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) with corrective action plans
- Support regulatory readiness, audits, and survey processes
- Communicate with clinical staff to clarify documentation and issue queries
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain compliance and improve patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care experience (required)
- Experience with Epic EMR system (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation, audits, and quality processes

Additional Requirements
- LA Fire Card required (within 30 days prior to start)

- First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of experience
- Minimal weekend requirement unless survey activity is in progress
