Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

Unit Specifics:

·       Number of Beds: 17 inpatient, 2 triage

·       Type of equipment: Monica Novii, Ambulatory (Telemetry) Monitors, GE EFM

·       Documentation system: Meditech, Centricity

·       Scheduling requirements: 3 12-hours shifts per week

·       Floating policy: MB/Postpartum

·       Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, courtesy and respect

Hospital Specifics-

·       Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate FM or C-EFM, NRP

Requested Skill Set: IV insertion, lab draws, JADA and BAKRI knowledge, blood administration, nitrous administration, experience with vaginal exams, setting up delivery tables for vaginal deliveries

Must have: Labor and delivery experience, strip interpretation, knowledge of common OB medications, circulator experience in C/S, PACU recovery experience for spinal anesthesia, antepartum triage, knowledge of common complications and treatments for obstetrical complaints, assist with epidural placement, teamwork approach to patient care

Procedures performed on unit: ECV, C/S, Vaginal Deliveries, Assist with vacuum or forceps as needed, Epidural placement

Certifications Required: RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NRP
