Travel/Contract Operating Room Registered Nurse - Milwaukee, WI

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years OR nursing experience, specifically with orthopedic cases such as fractures, anterior hips, total joints, spine, hand, and podiatry procedures
• Proficiency with orthopedic equipment, including Hanna Tables
• Strong knowledge of EPIC charting system, Alaris infusion pumps, and Pyxis medication systems
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with trauma centers or high-acuity settings
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Cross-training in Urology or other surgical specialties

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Wisconsin or eligible for licensure
• At least 2 years of OR nursing experience, with a preference for those familiar with orthopedic and trauma cases
• Ability to adapt to variable start times and weekend rotations
• Experience working on EPIC electronic health record systems is highly valued

Other Requirements:

• Must be comfortable with variable day shift start times (5:30 am - 7:00 am)
• Willingness to work weekend rotations with on-call responsibilities
• Scrubs provided by the hospital; covered caps preferred
• No first-time traveler applicants; approval pending supervisor evaluation
• Limited cross-facility floating within the main OR and Urology center
