Minimum Years of Experience required? RN: 2 years’ experience CVOR; Tech: 2 years of dedicated CVOR.
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Adult only
o CVOR: CABG, AAA, valve replacements, TAVRs, Heart and Lung transplants
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
o RN: BLS, ACLS
o Scrub: BLS, CST
Skills required:
o RN: circulating experience, Foley catheter, chest tube management, AED experience
o Scrub: proficient in the above cases
Support within the Department:
o Management
o 1 RN’s and 1 Tech in all cases
Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: Cerner
o IV Pump: Plum ICU Medical
o Med dispensing: Omnicell
o Unit specific equipment: Bovie, tourniquet, harmonic, OR bed, stretcher
o Robotics – Davinci D5 (robotic experience preferred, not required)
Floating: If yes, where?
o Vascular OR possibly to relieve for lunch (if comfortable)
Orientation (facility and unit) :
o NEO (full one week or orientation and the shift times are below)
o 3 days 0630-1900
o 4 days 0630-1700
o 3 days 1030-2300
Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: Based on unit needs
o On call? Yes
Call required, number of hours to be determined based on schedule
40-minute response time.
