💼 Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in New York. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, the ability to work in high-pressure environments, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a surgical setting.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room (OR) setting
• Assist in surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile environment
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure proper use of clinical equipment and instrumentation
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation with a 30-minute response time

✅ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Active New York State RN License (or eligibility)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Preferred)
• Successful completion of OR RN final exam (mandatory condition of employment)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient care practices
• Ability to assess clinical, emotional, and educational patient needs

• Prior OR experience
• Leadership, preceptorship, or charge nurse experience
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and OR/ASU equipment
• Ability to interpret lethal dysrhythmias
