Position Overview

A busy imaging department in Springfield, Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Travel CT Technologist for a 13‑week night‑shift assignment starting 5/11. This role is ideal for a tech who is confident working independently, comfortable with overnight trauma and inpatient volumes, and committed to delivering high‑quality diagnostic imaging.

Requirements

• ARRT (CT)
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience
• BLS (AHA)
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License
  • Must have or be willing to obtain prior to start
• Strong patient‑care skills and ability to work autonomously on nights

Shift Details

• Friday–Monday, 9p–7a
• 4×10 schedule with full‑time hours
• Mix of ED, trauma, and inpatient CT exams
• Overnight workflow with steady volume and cross‑department collaboration

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to scanning, following all safety protocols
• Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate, timely diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for CT exams and explain procedures to ensure comfort
• Insert IVs as needed for contrast studies
• Position patients safely, including assisting those with limited mobility using proper lifting techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and ensure images are correctly transmitted to PACS
• Keep the CT suite clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care throughout the night
